Practice run

Talullah's birthday is coming up, and I've been brainstorming ideas for a party theme. My never-short-on-ideas friend, Heather, gave me the perfect one! A puppy dog party. Since Miss T is going through the... crawl around on all fours, my name is Tilly, please throw me this bone phase, I think it is so well suited. Just for fun, and for practice, we painted her face with spots and whiskers and gave her some paper puppy ears. It was a big hit. I can't believe she's going to be 3 so soon!

Talullah's version of the Nativity Scene

Today was an exciting day! Nick brought all of the Christmas decorations from the attic, and our house is now festive and full of holiday cheer. I have the tree up with the coordinating red and gold bulbs, the snowmen sprinkled around ever room, and white lights edging the living room window. I let Talullah play with the nativity set to keep her busy while I arranged the house. This is how I found the pieces at the end of the day. All the men surrounded her bowl of mac n' cheese... which you might notice is still completely full. I guess she thought they might need the food more than she did.

Poor baby girl

My poor little angel is sick. It started yesterday with Talullah. We were all cute and matching, heading up to Sunday School when she puked everywhere. Half way to church already, we just took the next exit to turn around and head for home. Miss T has been fine today, but her little sister seems to be taking the sickness quite a bit worse. She woke up looking glossy eyed this morning, and has spent the day in her daddy's arms. Berlyn couldn't even make it through our 6:00 dinner without nodding off in her high chair. I'm sending prayers to heaven that my entire family wakes up whole and healthy tomorrow. Thank God this happened on my husband's days off so I have an extra set of hands to help with holding little girls.

Chomping away

It's a little hard to tell what's she's doing in the video, but it made me laugh and I couldn't let the moment slip away. Berlyn has found a new way of play eating. She throws her head back and pretends to chomp on the fake food. Probably not that big of a deal to anyone who is not her mom. But, I am, so it's going on the blog! ;)

It's Story Time with Talullah

Well... she gets a little distracted by her sweet treat, but it's still a good story.

Whatta face!

Seriously, how can you not just fall in love with this face?!?!

Bendaroo!!!

We love these things. The bendaroo's are kind of like an alternative to play dough. Play dough minus the mess.

Daddy time

Talullah's favorite show in Shaun the Sheep. I'm glad, because I am NOT a cartoon kind of person, but this is one of the cutest, funniest shows I've seen. I came into our bedroom to find T all cuddled up on her daddy. Such a sweet, sweet moment.

This one's for Katie...

I found an old mixed cd that my best friend Katie had made for me. Talullah, who has never heard the mix before shouted "This is a good one!" as soon as this Bon Jovi song started to play. I love that while he's singing 'In these arms....', Talullah starts rocking her arms like she's holding a baby.

Let's play pretend

Why is it so much fun to pretend that it's time to go to bed? Then... when nap time rolls around... it is NOT so fun. I was cleaning house and found the girls playing night-night on my bed. They thought it was fantastic.
