All you need is love

Swinging must be one of Talullah's very favorite things to do. She will sit in the swing for hours if you let her. Rain or shine, she will guide you over to the cherry tree with hope that you'll lift her into the seat and push her for awhile.

South Jetty

Talullah LOVED going to the beach today. She dug in the sand and collected rocks. She loved stamping her feet when the water washed on the shore, and Nick always had to run to get her when she tried to chase the wave back. We stayed at the beach for two hours just watching our little enjoy the great outdoors.

Weekend getaway

Talullah spent her first night away from mom and dad last weekend when she stayed over at papa and nana's. We were so worried that she would have a hard time and keep them up at night. I went to their house before 8am Saturday morning to see how things were going, and my baby girl was having a fabulous time. She barely let me hold her and instead kept going to her nana. What a bittersweet surprise. My baby is growing up so fast.

Sunny days, sweeping the clouds away!

Talullah and I spent an afternoon w/ Dallass and the kids in the backyard. Miss T loves her cousins, and boy oh boy did she love their swingset. She must have sat in that swing for 20 minutes before I had to take her out so Hugh could have a turn. I LOVE her silly smiles!

Consoling Papa

Today my dad had to go to the vet and put our family dog to sleep. After 14 years, Kelly left us with so many great memories and she was a wonderful companion for my parents after Adam and I grew up. She will be so greatly missed.
Talullah and I decided to go spend the afternoon with papa to help keep him smiling after an emotional day. We got to play in the backyard and Taley showed papa her new serious face. She even thrilled him with another new trick... whispering papa when we walked through the door! Hopefully we distracted him through what would have been a lonely afternoon without his usual 'shadow' following him around.

Whitethorn

We drove out to Whitethorn last Sunday to have lunch with the Johannesens. They have a gorgeous home on beautiful property surrounded by trees. We took advantage of the sunny day and let the girls play outside for a bit. Talullah got to pet the goats and go on the swings. She absolutely loved pushing around the shopping cart and refused to let me help her when the cart would get stuck on the bumpy ground. Her FAVORITE thing was to find sticks and dangerously swing them around. Seth cooked up some delicious elk and we enjoyed quite a few hours just chatting with their family before the long drive home.
Thanks Megan and Seth for your good cookin' and your sweet hospitality.

Upgrade

i
Talullah is graduating from her baby toys to the big girl stuff. I broke out her tricycle today to keep her busy while I worked in the yard. Her legs aren't quite long enough to reach the pedals, but she had no problem getting on and off all by herself!

You are my sunshine

We love sunny days! Since they are few and far between, we try to take advantage of every one we get. Talullah loves to run in the grass chasing after Annabelle, playing in her house, swinging in the swing, and 'helping' mommy pull weeds.

Guess who found the Q-Tips...
