Brendan's last hurrah
Brendan's wedding is coming up, so a few of the boys went hiking in the mountains as a bachelor party. Can I just say, I wish I would have thought to have a THREE DAY GETAWAY with my girlfriends before MY wedding. I didn't realize that was an option. I digress. Brendan, Travis, Nick, and Dustin drove up to the Trinity Alps and hiked a whole buncha miles to camp in the beautiful wilderness doing manly things like sweat, fish, and drink beer. It looks like they had a great time, except for the fact that there was a thunder storm their last night there! The men all had to huddle inside playing cards while rain pelted the tent. We can't wait for the wedding next weekend. Brendan and Ashlee are our favorites.
Goodbye Wesley!!!
Wesley has left for the Army, and while we are so excited for this new chapter of his life, we are all so sad to see him go. We will miss seeing his face at Grammy and Grandpa's house during our visits. We are so incredibly proud of his dedication and hard work. He will surely do well in the difficult training ahead. We love you, Wesley!!!
Whatta Man
Every once in awhile my husband makes our dinner. Everytime he does, I seriously consider designating him the daily cook in our house. I plan out meals a week in advance, mapping out what each dinner will be. Nick looks in the fridge, throws together a cream cheese boca burger pita pocket with lettuce from our garden. Absolutely delicious. Careful, my love... if you make it look too easy you'll find yourself a new duty to add to the role you play.
Hello, sunshine!
Oh man, is she a cutie?!
Sunscreen time!
I don't know why I can't turn this photo... UGh.

Talullah found herself a buried treasure.
Absolute cuteness. This girl loves to soak in sunshine.
Berlyn LOVED the sand. No qualms about getting dirty for this one.

There's no safe place
Berlyn is what we call... in the process of learning to live without the binkie. As you can tell, she's not handling it well. She has a habit, and habits are hard to break. She will search the house high and low looking for a long lost 'wub-a-nub'. It's quite possible she's strategically hidden them throughout each room because she often comes in sucking on a pacifier when I'm sure I've put them all out of her reach. And, when all else fails, as it always does, she finds her sister. And steals hers.
