I hate goodbyes

One of my very best friends is moving to Texas tomorrow and the thought of her leaving brings tears to my eyes. Oh gosh... here they come right now.
I'm going to miss her and her family so incredibly much. Jen has seen me through thick and thin for the past 17 years. I love her children like they're family, and it warms my heart every time I hear them call me 'auntie'. I'm sad that Talullah won't be able to play with them, and I can't believe they won't be here to meet Berlyn. I wish them well on their journey, and I'm praying that they have a safe and exciting road trip. I know that a brand new adventure is waiting for them, and I can't wait to hear stories of their new home. Goodbye Flip, Jen, Kaya, and Gavin. You are dear to my heart and I'm a little less complete without you near. We love you!!!

First trip to the pool

Ok, so it's just a kiddie pool and it barely has 4 inches of water in it. Talullah didn't seem to care. Nana and Papa bought her the pool and she was ready to tear off her clothes and splash in the freezing cold water. She's starting signing "cold", shivering, and holding her arms up for us to wrap her up in the towel. No sooner would we have her dried off, she'd be begging to get down and climb back in. I guess we should post a 'No Diving" sign next time. She tends to want to head in face first...

You are my sunshine

We headed south to Miranda hoping to find sunshine, and while it wasn't quite as warm as we'd hoped, it was still nice playing outside for a bit. I was not aware that little Miss T can climb up the stairs and go down the slide all by herself. How I underestimate my baby girl who's just growing too fast! She also loved playing in the pop-up house and she nearly cried when the wind blew it over. She covered her mouth and kept saying "Oh no! Oh no!", desperately looking to her daddy for help. We stayed the night in the travel trailer only to wake up and find cloudy skies the next morning. Oh well... we'll have to try again in a few weeks, I guess.

Nana Banana

Nana let Talullah join her at the park on her class' end of the year fieldtrip to Rohner Park. We're so glad that school is finally out so nana can spend more time with us during the summer!!!

Breakfast for champions

Talullah was enjoying her waffle with jam. She wasn't eating the waffle so much, but instead spent most of the time at the table just sucking all the strawberry goodness out of the squares.

Vroom Vroom!!!

Poor papa tore a ligament in his knee, and he's been in so much pain. He's supposed to use a cane for support when he walks, and he needs to rest his leg as much as possible. Of course, being the good papa that he is, whenever Talullah is around he just can't sit still. He has to entertain her. I DON'T think this is what the doctor pictured when he ordered a cane for papa... But it was the perfect tool for engaging the gas pedal in T's jeep since she's not quite big enough to do it herself.

Rock a bye, baby

Miss. T got some new accessories for her babies. She was so excited when we broke out the box, she would barely let her dad open it up and put the pieces together. She has a new baby that came with a bottle, a play pen, and a highchair. We came into the room and our precious little girl had climbed into the play pen and was rocking her baby to sleep. This was funny until I realized that she's simply copying me. This week I'm teaching her to fall asleep without being rocked, so we crawl into her crib each night and she dozes off beside me. She's simply teaching her baby to do the same.
