Berlyn, my baby

She can smile!!!

Family Fun Day

This morning we woke up to sunshine and decided to have a family fun day. We got the girls dressed and drove up to the zoo. Talullah rode on her daddy's shoulders as we walked around, only getting down to run around the barn yard petting area. She was so cute, hugging each of the goats and saying "Bye, goat. Bye sheep. Bye pig." as we left the animals. We ate our pb&j sandwiches and then headed for a special treat at Fresh Freeze. Nick taught Talullah how to properly eat her ice cream cone with large licks instead of big bites. I do believe we will make a Monday tradition of Family Fun from here on out.

Back in the day...

Megan just passed along a few old photos from one of our play dates with the girls. Priceless moments. Addie and Talullah's birth dates are only four days apart. It is so sweet to watch the girls interact.

This is the life...

Could it really get any better than this? Berlyn is such a good sleeper. She's pretty dang cute, too.

Berry cool

When papa comes over, of course, the first thing Talullah says is "Outside, papa. Outside!" She knows she has him wrapped around his finger, and he's never in my house for more than five minutes before the two of them head out the front door. They peek over the back fence to see the dogs in the neighbors yard. They climb through the little plastic play house. And lately, they walk up the road to go pick berries off whatever bushes they can find. Today, miss T came back twenty minutes late for her nap, covered in berry juice. She was happy as can be until I reminded her it was still time to lay down. Should I have been surprised that papa volunteered to stay with her until she was fast asleep? Absolutely not.

It's all about Pooh

Talullah is trying to share her love for Winnie the Pooh with Berlyn. I was letting Talullah watch her Pooh Musical that nana rented, and I came into the room to find she'd lined up all of the 100 acre woods team to join her. Too cute. A few days later, she went through her costume drawer and brought me her Tigger outfit. She sported that outfit all day! So much for the cute matching clothes I'd picked out for her and sister.

Moments to treasure...

Yes. Both girls are napping. At the same time. Each in their own crib. I'm sure this moment won't last long, but I'm going to sit back and enjoy every second of it while I can. Just drinking my cup of coffee and reading a few scriptures to wind down.
