Ok... tomorrow is Nicks 30th birthday. I have wanted desperately to have this baby for the past two weeks. Tonight... I'm chanting "Not today, not today... Nooooooo way!" We're going out to dinner for a surprise birthday celebration, and I do NOT want to postpone the party. I don't even care if my water breaks during dinner. As long as we make it up there, we yell surprise!, and he sees that everyone loves him, I'll be a happy woman. Since I didn't find the time to get him a gift during these past couple of weeks, I even put on heels and curled my hair to make the night seem extra special. Poor guy... Of the 43 months we've been married, I've been pregnant 24 of them. He deserves to see me in something in other than sweatpants and my favorite (and much too small) pink Victoria Secret sweatshirt. Not often does he see me without my hair pulled back in a pony tail, either. Happy 30th birthday to the love of my life. Thanks for putting up with me, raging hormones, big belly, silly waddle, and all.

Another day at the beach
It was a Tuesday afternoon, and it was gorgeous! Nick and I took the girls to the south Jetty. We should have guessed everyone else would be out and about too. When we finally found a secluded spot, it was much to far away from the water for this pregnant momma to walk. Still, we found the perfect little cove to block us from the breeze and the girls had a blast playing in the sand. They burried dad's feet and Berlyn kept him busy, always trying to make the great escape. Talullah is such a good big sister, though, always running after Baby B and reeling her back to mom and dad. Only two weeks from my due date, I just sat and rested on the blanket... sitting back and enjoying the view.
One FEISTY little girl
T

Berlyn is our daredevil. She is our little fighter. She has climbed on just about everything in the house. If something is out of her reach, she will find a way to get to it. When she loves on Annabelle, she lays her entire body on top of the cat to 'hug' her. Going down the slide, it's usually head first. To brush her teeth, I often have to use my arms and legs to hold her still and open her mouth. Anytime I get on the floor to try and squeeze in some prenatal yoga, this little girl is quickly up on my back thinking it's time for a horsey ride. Last week, I heard Talullah yelling... "Mom! I need help. Moooooom!!!!" I went in the living room and couldn't see Miss T anywhere. But there stood Berlyn, bouncing on top of the wicker toy box, and I instantly knew where Talullah was stuck. Inside the toy box. She'd climbed inside and Berlyn hopped on top as soon as the lid was shut. We have so much fun chasing Baby B around and seeing what she'll come up with next.

Where did it go....?
Every time Nick and I go to Jitterbean, the girls know that they get to have a little sucker, as well. If we even drive by Jitterbean, Talullah starts asking for one. Berlyn is now old enough to get this special treat, and her dum-dum is always gone far before sister has finished hers. We made our coffee run last Monday, and when we got out of the car, Berlyn's stick for the sucker was nowhere to be found. Until.... I saw it.
Family Fun Time
It was cold, but the sun was shining, so we took a quick stroll by the river. I tried to teach Talullah how to skip, and we all got to throw small rocks into the water. Nick took a short video of the skipping, but in watching it, I learned that I also look pregnant from behind... so that video will not become a public viewing. Talullah loved playing in the big patch of dry leaves that had fallen, and she just kept throwing handfulls into the air. These girls just love spending time outside. It is precious to watch them discover things and take delight in simple moments of life.
