Today we had Summer and West over to play. Michelle and I let out a long 'awwwww' when we saw the two little girls holding hands and coming towards us. It doesn't get much sweeter than that.

Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.
We went outside to play today and Havanna just sat in her bouncy seat looking around, having a splendid time. Thank God for all these sunny days that we can take advantage of before winter comes and we're stuck indoors, again. I'm so glad we have a house with a yard!
She loves it!
The new bouncer is a big hit. If I can get her to stay in for 15 minutes, I can sweep and vacuum. Then, if she lays on the play mat for 10 minutes, I can clean the kitchen. My entire day is broken up into small increments like this.
Show me... Tiger!
I took a picture of Talullah. Then she made a silly face. So I said... Show me Angry! Show me... Silly! Show me princess! Show me.... TIGER!
Weeeee!!!
This horsey is at grandma Downey's house. Berlyn adores it. She rocks this horse so hard, it seriously looks like she's going to flip it over. Maybe I'm just a worrier.

It's started, already?!
I dialed the number and handed the phone to Talullah so she could wish her cousin Adelaide Happy Birthday. Then I had to rush out of the room to attend to one of the other children. I must have come back twenty minutes later to find her still sitting there, chatting away. Adelaide had by now passed on the phone, so Talullah was talking to Gillian.
It's just a phase...
That's what I have to tell myself. Every night. Berlyn has always hated having her teeth brushed. I don't get it! Please, Lord. Give me the wisdom to figure out how in the world to get this girls teeth cleaned without such a struggle! The neighbors must think we give her a nightly beating at bedtime for how much she screams.
You've got to be KIDDING me!
I thought I would get myself dressed first when we got out of the shower. Perhaps next time I'll just go ahead and put clothes on Havanna first.
Friends
We had the privilege of having baby Nora over to play for a couple hours while her parents were working. It was so sweet to see all 4 girls together!
Have Patience...
This was a picture from one of the days Nick and I both went to clean at the rental. We had all 3 girls, so you can imagine things were moving pretty slow. For a solid 3 hours the big girls stayed in the play pen while I wiped walls, painted, and cleaned min blinds with baby in the Ergo. The little movie player kept Talullah and Berlyn entertained for awhile, but truth be told, the third hour was mostly full of fussing and calling for us and Berlyn trying to throw her legs over the pen to climb out. I couldn't blame them for getting impatient. I'm ready for Operation: Clean Up to be OVER, as well. I've only gone to help poor Nick 3 times, while he's spent countless hours there after work and on weekends. One day we'll be glad we did this. But today is not that day.
It's Fair Time!
This is how you do it with THREE. |
Daddy & his girls |
Beware! Wild Animals. |
Can we take you home?! |
The Girl Scouts had free games for kids. |
Let's go 'fishing'! |
True Love |
Do you see Nick? He's having to hold both girls! |
My heart melts as she signs "I Love You". |
We made it to the Humboldt County Fair! And, of course, we went on one of the designated Free Admissions day. The girls got to go on a couple rides. According to Miss T., the horsey ride was her favorite. Since I'm the one always carrying Havanna in the Ergo, that leaves Nick to be the chaperone. He politely asked if I would like to be the one to take them down the Super Slide (since he went with them during our 4th of July festivities). Uhm. No thanks.

Just like her sister
If Talullah is doing it, Berlyn is right behind her. She adores her big sis and always wants to be in the spotlight, too. "Look mom!" "Look mom!" I must hear that sweet voice a hundred times a day calling me to stop and pay attention to her.
