It was a crazy Saturday. First we went to Koral's carnival birthday and Talullah had so much fun playing the games and going down the big slide. She ate her entire corn dog, and then some, plus a cupcake... a cookie... some candy... All before we jetted to Braxton's party at the horse ranch. Then more cake, of course.

Wiped out!
Why did he make me do it?!?!
Much to my dismay, my dear husband decided to chop off his gorgeous locks. He's tired of getting trims to keep it clean cut for work. It's too uncomfortable in the heat. I listened to his reasons, but I was still so sad to see that beautiful head of hair go. What's worse? The fact that it's sheared so short is MY fault. It was so long, I had to chop it with scissors first and I accidentally got to close to his scalp during a distracted snip. We had to go a step shorter to even out the bald spot! It'll grow back.... right?
One chick, Two chick, Three chick, Four.
The most exciting news recently is the newest additions to our family. Welcome Lillianna, Gabriella, Ava, and Tiny. Can you guess which one I did NOT name? I can't wait for these little girls to grow up and give us eggs! They are so cute, and in the last week they have doubled in size. I finally talked Nick into letting us keep them inside. Dang it that I have to admit to him being right... these baby chicks are noisy. And messy! Oh well, it's been fun hearing the chirps for just a couple days before we put them back in the garage. Soon they'll be running around the yard and fertilizing the grass. Oh my!
Baby B
What a little stinker she is! Not only does she have a smile that lights up a room, she is getting the sweetest personality to match. I left her sleeping on my bed for just a second. When I came back, she had wedged herself between the mattress and the wall. Thank God she was head up! There she was, just smiling away, not able to move an inch. Talullah has a new play kitchen, and Berlyn was being such a good girl playing by herself. Little did I know, Talullah had a secret stash of crackers hidden in the sink, and Berlyn had helped herself. She was snacking away, making a mess of crumbs on one side of the counter, while I was sweeping the other side. My house will never be clean! .... And there she is trying her best to fill her daddy's shoes. That makes her a stinker for an entirely different reason...

One of MY favorite things
I don't know about the girls, but I've just discovered a new favorite toy. We bought this water toy at a yard sale; it was brand new in the box! Yesterday was possibly the nicest day of this year so far, so I was extremely excited to play outdoors. Not only did we get to exercise outside, play at the park, and plant our veggie garden, we got to get wet!!!
