Alicen and her mom were so gracious to invite Miss T. and I up to their cabin at Trinity Lake for a weekend getaway. A weekend was not nearly enough, and I gladly could have camped out there for the rest of the summer. It was deliciously hot and we enjoyed lazy mornings followed by walks with the babies. Most of our time was spent out on the deck with our feet in the kiddy pool which was fine by me! Talullah would play in the water all day long. She'd jump right into the freezing cold pool while Gabe played it smart and would only splash around once the heat of the day warmed up the water. We learned that Talullah has a problem sharing, so we're diligently working on this matter before Berlyn arrives. It is especially difficult for her to share her momma. Alicen simply put her hand on my belly to feel the baby kick, and poor Talullah just lost it. She bawled, telling Ali "No!" and pushing her hand away. We had a wonderful time and I hope there are more sunny days to enjoy before summer comes to an end!
